He doesn't exactly know what tonight is supposed to be. He knowswaht hopes it's going to be, but hoping hasn't exactly got him many places in the past and, even if it doesn't turn out to be exactly that then he really likes hanging out with Marie and having a few more friends wouldn't hurt, would it? It's not like he can spend every minute in Charlie's pocket.
